Pinny's House by Peter Firmin
Pinny and the Floppy Frog
There is no furniture in the little china house.
Pinny always cleans her house and Victor takes care of his little sailing boat. Tess the dog has found a cloth frog.
Tom is annoyed that Tess has chewed the cloth frog. He puts it next to Pinny's house. Pinny and Victor think it is very comfortable to sit on the frog.
The cloth frog begins to slide off the mantelpiece along with Pinny and Victor. Tess the naughty dog springs into action and grabs the cloth toy.
Out in the garden no one can see Tess. Pinny and Victor are shaken. Tess drops the toy frog and chases a duck.
Another duck inspects the frog and finds that the stuffing is made of rice. Thankfully the duck soon leaves but Pinny and Victor are left outside.
Tom scolds Tess and goes off to retrieve the toy frog.
Tom shakes the frog and out falls Victor and Pinny. The frog is now mended filled with cotton wool. Pinny and Victor sat on top.
