The Magic Ball - The story of the Caveman

Sam was sitting in a chair inside the little shop which belonged to his Aunt Mill. He was reading a book and as ever the Magic Ball was right beside him. The book was about a caveman being chased by a large dinosaur and Sam thought this very unfair. Suddenly the Magic Ball activated and took Sam to a place very unfamiliar. He was back in prehistoric times. He decide to stay and have a look around as you never really know what you might find until you start searching.

Sam was inside the shop reading a book The book showed a small caveman being chased Sam thought this very unfair and soon found himself in the past

The landscpae was very different He soon came across the caveman Sam realised that the caveman was very timid and needed help

Eventually Sam and his Ball run into the caveman from the book. The caveman is a bit timid but eventually tells Sam that he is trying to catch the lesser spotted Diplodocus and has been trying for thirty years. He needs to catch in order to show the others that he is brave and worthy of being a caveman. Suddenly the caveman feels rather warm and realises that the beastie is standing right behind him. Whereever Sam and Becket go they find they cannot hide from the huge beast. Eventually Sam uses the Magic Ball to catch the dinosaur, who it turns out, just wants to be friends.

The dinosaur arrived Becket explained that he must catch the dinosaur to prove himself to the other cavemen The Dinosaur would not be easily caught

Becket and Sam up a tree The Dinosaur easily finds them The Magic Ball helps out

The caves where the villagers live The cave people are terrified of the dinosaur The hide behind the rocks

Eventually they come out They soon realise that there is nothing to be frightened about The dinosaur is very friendly

Becket is overjoyed as he can now take the beast back to his village and prove what a brave caveman he is. The three set off for the village but soon alarm the locals who run and hide. they eventually come out and realise that all is well. A huge feast and party is ordered which goes on pretty much into the night. Lots of eating, drinking and dancing is on the menu.

A huge feast is prepared Everyone is busy A dance also takes place

Lots of eating The whole village has been invited Sam finds himself back in the shop

The book now shows a different picture Aunt mill arrives Sam smiles

As ever with one of Sam's adventures, it is time to go and the Magic Ball transports him back into the shop. He looks again at the book of the caveman being chased by the dinosaur, only to find that it now shows the two friends sleeping next to each other. Aunt Mill appears and asks Sam where he has been to which Sam smiles and says "No where much."
